Hi, my name is Jacqueline Woolnough, I was born Jacqueline Carol-Ann Marshall in 1964 and I have been researching my family tree since about 1991. I love finding out about my ancestors and it is always a thrill to have contact with others researching my lines.
The main names I am interested in are: -
- Marshall - my fathers family.
- Fifield - my mothers family.
- Hawke - my fathers paternal grandmothers family.
- Willoughby - my maternal grandmothers family.
- Grimley - my maternal grandmother's, mother's family.
- Richardson - my maternal grandfather's, mothers family.
- Unsworth - my maternal great, great grandmother's family.
- Cahillane - my paternal grandmother's family from Co. Kerry, Ireland.
- Sullivan - my paternal grandmother's family from Co. Kerry, Ireland.
- Woolnough - my husband's family.
- Pateman - my husband's family.
My Fifield line goes way back to 1544 in Hampshire (courtesy of Mr Peter Wells - see acknowledgements) and my Woolnough family line is descended, mostly via the females, from royalty, the 1st King being Edward I. (My husband is the 21st cousin twice removed to Queen Elizabeth II - distant, I know but he is ever hopeful). I would love to see my Willoughby and Marshall lines lead to royalty as there are Willoughby's and Le Marschal's associated with the royals at some time. Perhaps my husband (a Woolnough) will not keep calling me the "Commoner" in the family then. I have always been told that my Richardson family was related to George Stephenson (inventor of the Rocket steam engine) but so far I have not found the connection, the nearest I am to finding a link is having the same families living in the same area at the same time. My Hawke family are apparently related to Lord Hawke, although again I have not connected the 2 Hawke families yet.
I am always open to accept information on these family lines of my family and other branches - if you wish to donate. If you wish to know anything about any person you see in my tree please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to provide you with more information. There will obviously be times when I cannot provide anything more than someone's name and link to my family as some of my information has been provided by other researchers, but please don't let this deter you from asking.
